Baby Munro...

This weekend consisted of a baby shower to celebrate the anticipated arrival of Baby Munro.  Myself and the girls at work decided to give her something useful, different and creative.  After all, we are Home Ec teachers.

As you all know I am a little fond of cakes, so why not make her a cake.  But not just any cake... The increasing popular 'Nappy Cake'.  I've made a few before so this didn't take long at all.  Whipped it up in an afternoon (with help rolling the teeny tiny nappies).  Although this was the first time I attempted making the tiny sock roses... Aren't they cute!

The baby shower was a great afternoon and a huge success.  It was well organised with all the little fun games and the yummy food, and mumma was glowing.  Now to sit back and wait.

Rylie & Dan's Engagement Dessert Table

"Daniel popped the question and Rylie said yes..." is what the invitation stated.  Very appropriate and cute I thought.  One of good girlfriends was getting married, but first the engagement party.  As my gift to the 'Mr & Mrs To-Be' I was making their cake.  But why stop there when I have 'DREAM'.

A dessert table it was.  Pink and Orange the colours... I like, I like!  Then I just went nuts.  This was the inspiration page that I created on Polyvore and sent it to Rylie to see if we were on the right track.  Spot on!!! Excellent!!!

The night was creeping upon us and I had a lot to do.  A big thank you goes out to my girlfriend Karina, my angel.  She was a massive help and my calmness through the whole process... Thank you xo

Hope you guys had a lovely night celebrating your engagement with all your family and friends.  Thank you for letting me be apart of this special occasion.
Love to you both xoxo

Busy Baking Week... Stay Tuned

As you follow Aussies would know, there has a been a whirl wind of weather around the country at the moment.   As a matter of fact, around the WORLD.  We have been in the middle of a heat wave of 40 degree + days for a week.  Not good when your in a kitchen/classroom with 30 smelly sweaty kids and only two ceiling fans to keep you cool.  Anyway, I didn't do much last week as I was busy with returning to work and dealing with the heat.

This week is going to be extra busy.  I'll be baking my butt off this week as I am doing an engagement cake and a little surprise.  So just letting you to stay tuned as the photos will be posted on the weekend sometime.

Hope you have a great week :-)
